Privacy Policy

GDPR and Your Right to Privacy

I consider the privacy of your data to be a very serious matter and want to fulfil the spirit of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which is about protecting your right to privacy, not just about the letter of the law.

If You Subscribe to My Newsletter

If you subscribe to my newsletter by completing the sign up form on my website I will keep a record of your name and email address. This data is used for the sole purpose of sending future newsletters, and that name and email address are not used in any form of marketing – whether my own or third party – and will not be passed on to anyone else. I will never share or sell your information. All the information I hold is password-protected, and I am the only person who has access to these files on a general basis.

The Right to Removal

You have the right to request to have your details removed from my systems, partially or entirely, and I will be happy to do so. There is an unsubscribe link included in the confirmation when you sign up to my Newsletter, and a link at the end of every post sent out. Alternatively you can request to be removed from my mailing list by contacting me directly.

Social Media Policy

I engage with a range of social media platforms – Facebook primarily. I keep a Facebook page for professional purposes and you are welcome to look at this and make comments. New posts are automatically posted to Facebook upon publication.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

Articles on this website may include embedded content from other websites (e.g. videos or images). Embedded content behaves in the exact same way as if the reader has visited that other website. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with that embedded content- including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
